UND Students Participate in "PT Day of Service" | Oct 21, 2016

Numerous members from the first and third year classes of the UND Physical Therapy program participated in the second annual "Physical Therapy Day of Service" (PT-DOS) which was held on Saturday, October 15th this year. Students from the program volunteered their time to help clean up the facility grounds of Valley Eldercare in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Last year this initiative involved over 3,700 people from 28 different countries and aimed to organize an opportunity for Physical Therapy students to provide community services in various ways, from providing pro bono clinics to volunteering at soup kitchens. The profession of Physical Therapy is centered around service and embodies who we are, what we do, and how we act. This initiative is simply another way to get involved and further the impact Physical Therapy has on an individual as well as the community at large.
